Utilities

Natural Gas

Gwinnett County has many natural gas marketers since deregulation in 1999. The maintenance provider for gas delivery to your home is:

Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGLC)
Tel: (770) 994-1946 (Emergency Service Only)

AGLC is responsible for the "physical" natural gas distribution and connection to your home. A monthly charge by AGLC will generally appear on all natural gas providers bills as a service charge.

For a listing of companies providing natural gas, call the Georgia Public Service Commission at (404) 656-4501 or visit their website at www.psc.state.ga.us.

You will need to sign up for a particular natural gas supplier or else one will be assigned to you automatically.

In areas within Gwinnett county not providing natural gas to your home, check with local LP gas suppliers. For purposes outlined here, all homes are serviced by AGLC.

Allied Waste (BFI) Industries has traditionally offered a special rate to all Jefferson Station homeowners. This rate is available to all current Allied subscribers and for new accounts. Although most services charge a similar quarterly rate, check which each provider to see which service is right for your needs (i.e., days of pickup, amount of refuse allowed, etc.)
